The president of SMS Consulting Group, Alicia Gonzalez, has over 20 years’ experience dealing with air freight forwarder security compliance and international trade issues. Having worked with both freight forwarders and exporters, she has gained a unique insight on international trade. Her expertise includes assisting air freight forwarder startups obtain the necessary certifications and training to be in compliance with federal agency regulations.
Alicia received her master’s degree in International Business from Keller-DeVry University with honors and a BA in Economics/Business from Rutgers University. She is an active member of the Florida Customs Brokers Association, the International Honor Society in Business and active participant in the Global Trade and Logistics Advisory Committee for Broward College.
